PLAYING WITH UNCONVENTIONAL TOOLS ( Outdoor practice) Course Code: 1805017241274 Category: Watercolor Language: English ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ LEARNING OBJECTIVES: • Reignite our CURIOSITY through HACKING everything objects for sketching & painting. • Explore CONTROL & FREEDOM in our art making process. • Experience creative mark-making on paper and expand personal repertoire of marks. • Inject visual MOVEMENT into our paintings using unconventional tools. • Turning happy ‘accidents’ into opportunities! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: How do you stay inspired and maintain a creative practice? Have you forgotten how to be playful in your art making? Fear not because this experimental workshop is sequenced to help you to uncover the power of play. We will use this playful workshop to explore our relationship with our drawing/painting tools. 'Familiarity breeds Contempt' reminds us that extensive knowledge of or close association with someone or something (our tools) can lead to a loss of respect for them. To re-sensitize our artistic taste buds, we will harness the power of play to help us to disassociate from our familiar art tools, break away from monotony and see new possibilities in drawing and painting. We will hack everyday objects using innovative art exercises and celebrate hidden potentials of these unfamiliar objects. The workshop will show you how to use these newly imagined tools to create bold and lyrical marks on paper. Finally, we will learn how to adapt and apply these marks to create movement-inspired paintings. So let us put away our familiar art tools and turn happy accidents into opportunities. * Each Participant will have 1 Paul Wang Daniel Smith color dot Card and you can experience the amazing color mixing techniques with Paul with Daniel Smith colors. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Date: 24th June (Mon) Time: 2:00-5:00pm (3 Hours) Venue: Outdoor.
