Artists’ oil colours are made by dispersing pigments in an oil medium to create a smooth, slow-drying paint. The choice of oil mediums from the wide variety available depends on the surface and the finish required, and the working properties preferred during painting. Oils diluents, mediums, varnishes complement perfectly the Georgian and other Daler-Rowney oil colours.

  • Alkyd Medium

Slightly thinner than Liquin or other Alkyd gel mediums, it increases the transparency and flow of oil colour, allowing paint to be brushed out more smoothly. Alkyd flow medium reduces drying time.

  • With different volume: 75ml , 175 ml

  • Paint Medium
  • ideal all-purpose painting medium. It is formulated from mixture of Linseed Stand Oil, White Spirit and Oil of Spike Lavender. When mixed with oil colour it will dry to a tough, elastic film. This medium is very easy to handle, so would be a great choice for beginners. It also creates an excellent glaze.
